Catching cold can be troublesome at any time of the day but imagine waking up at 2 AM on a Saturday morning with a high fever, stuffy nose, and a sore throat. Your options for emergency care are limited. MyTelemedicine is challenging the status-quo of care delivery by offering new care and cost settings that are practical for employers, benefit aggregators, and insurance carriers, and ultimately patients.
Through its powerful platform and proprietary Telehealth API Ecosystem, MyTelemedicine enables physicians to deliver care to patients at any time for common acute issues. It also drives other companies to provide access to healthcare to the under-served market respectively. With the technology leadership of Jesse Roach, Founder and CTO and Alex Trican, Founder and CSO of MyTelemedicine, the company employs qualified professionals and delivers its innovative solutions in 50 states, as well as Asia, Puerto Rico, and Canada. “MyTelemedicine is a technology company at heart, our main driver is to solve the healthcare problem through innovation. We leverage our technology to improve continuity of care,” says Roach.
Powering Healthcare through Advanced Telemedicine APIs
Since deploying its proprietary Telehealth API Ecosystem in September 2015, MyTelemedicine has experienced rapid growth, which mirrors the upward trajectory of the telehealth industry, earning accolades along the way. MyTelemedicine’s proprietary, secure, and HIPAA-compliant platform enables third-party healthcare providers with the ability to integrate and deploy a telemedicine offering to their patient base. Trican adds, “Our API is built in a HITRUST-certified cloud environment which demonstrates the level of commitment we have to security, compliance, and ultimately to the patient's privacy.” Providers can perform on-demand consultations with members nationwide via telephone and video technology. Patients can seek advice, recommendations, and diagnosis, which may include a prescription for common acute illnesses. The goal is to make quality and cost-effective care accessible to all. Through its Telehealth API Ecosystem and white-label services, the company is helping millions of patients and doctors discover a cost-effective option for healthcare.
MyTelemedicine offers two types of private-label solutions—Basic and Integrated.
While both have a completely customizable platform with powerful capabilities, including a national physician network, sophisticated 24/7 call center, and comprehensive Spanish language support, there are key differences in the implementations. The Basic version means that MyTelemedicine will host the member experience with the client’s customizations including a unique URL, logo, brand identity, and everything they need to give their members the fully satisfying experience they expect. The Integrated version goes several steps further and allows the customer to either build their own telehealth experience or integrate it into their existing user workflow, having MyTelemedicine as the engine driving that experience. Further, the company provides an easy to use system to its members. They can login or call the 24/7/365 MyTelemedicine call center for all of their non-emergency needs. When a member calls in, the company’s care coordinator walks him/her through the entire process, including updating their medical records, managing their dependents and scheduling a consultation.
Simple, Powerful API
MyTelemedicine offers robust, multi-tiered APIs designed to encourage adoption and ease of use. As a testimony to that, their Census Management APIs are offered for FREE to all their clients and preferred to other forms of eligibility management.
Our API is built in a HITRUST-certified cloud environment which demonstrates the level of commitment we have for security, compliance, and ultimately to the patient's privacy
The company has helped numerous clients through its powerful API. In one instance, one of MyTelemedicine’s clients tried to partner with one of the largest telemedicine organizations but could not get the integration they needed. The client was in a peculiar situation and approached MyTelemedicine with only a week left for their deadline. The company worked closely with the client and, in two days enabled them to deliver live consultations, which others could not do in three months. Such examples stand as a testament to the competence and reputation that MyTelemedicine has developed over the years.
Having carved a unique niche in the healthcare landscape, MyTelemedicine aims to continue moving along their innovation path. “As we strive to further innovate and re-shape the traditional telemedicine market, we are finding that our technology has the potential to also be a disruptor in various healthcare verticals,” mentions Trican. Leveraging the API that can be integrated with most EMR systems, the company is looking to move toward other parallel industries associated with healthcare. “Our goal for MyTelemedicine is to not only ensure that we remain technologically relevant but to push the boundaries through innovation, and change the way healthcare is approached,” concludes Roach.
